AVCP RHA is a service provider for the AHFC Weatherization Program to provide the weatherization services for houses owned by AVCP RHA and for privately-owned houses.

AHFC administers weatherization programs that have been created to award grants to non-profit organizations for the purpose of improving the energy efficiency of low-income homes statewide. To apply, individuals should contact the weatherization service provider or regional housing authority in their area. The weatherization provider will provide program services at no cost to qualified applicants.

The AHFC Weatherization Program has two programs

Home Energy Rebate Program – The rebate program assists homeowners in making the best energy efficiency improvements to their home. The program requires an AkWarmTM energy rater to evaluate the home before and after the improvements. The more a home’s energy efficiency improves, the greater the potential rebate. Maximum rebate is $10,000.

Weatherization Program – Provide weatherization services to income qualified applicants. The weatherization provider will provide program services at no cost to qualified applicants.
